George William Lee

Age 85 of Portsmouth, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 31, 2017 He was born on September 24, 1932 in Madison County, OH to Harry and Sylvia (McKnight) Lee George served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, worked as a laborer in the automotive area, and eventually retired from Premix EMS of Lancaster in 1994 He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed riding in cars and attending the Circleville pumpkin show More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

George is survived by his daughters, Dora (Dale) Keaton of Wheelersburg, Paula (Darren) Adkins of Grayson, KY, Sara (Fred) Maya of Lake Wells, FL, Beth (Anthony) Culver of Portsmouth; brothers, Harry Lee of FL, Harold Lee of South Bloomfield; sister, Bertha Foutz of Circleville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2005; son, Bill Lee; one brother and four sisters; great-grandchild, Bradon Galloway.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at D.W.
