Gary Michael Neal

Gary Michael Neal, 59, of Portsmouth passed away at home on August 12, 2013. He was born May 13, 1954 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Harold Hershel Neal Sr. and Belvia A. Gibson Neal. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Eugene Neal. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane; two sons, Matthew Michael Neal (Elizabeth Ann) of McDermott and Jonathan Wayne (Denise) Neal of Portsmouth; six beautiful grandchildren, Alexander Matthew, Hannah Marie, Kayla, Seth, Jordan and Sweet Charlotte Rose. Survivors also include four brothers, Harold (Shorty) Neal Jr., Larry Ray Neal, James Ronald Neal and Timothy Lee Neal. Gary was a 1972 graduate of East High School, worked in the maintenance field in Ohio before moving to Texas where he was a unique specialist for Oilfield Industrial Lines and a chemist for Sid Richardson Carbon Black Company. Gary was a believer of the Apostolic faith having been born again of the water and the spirit. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation for the prayers, visits, flowers and cards. Special appreciation and thanks for Hospice during this time. There will be no services at this time. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.W.
