Gary L. Amburgey

Age 73, of Portsmouth, passed away on March 10, 2020 SOMC in Portsmouth He was born November 26, 1946 in Rubyville to Robert Humphrey and Lillian Orrin (Reed) Amburgey Gary worked as a counselor for the Good Shepherd Manor in Wakefield He enjoyed NASCAR, tractor pulls, playing with his dogs, and was known as a joker.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Amburgey; son, Robert Lee Amburgey or Portsmouth; daughter, Rhonda A mburgey Dunaway of Portsmouth; one grandchild, Brandy Shultz; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Amburgey; sister, Phyllis Allard; grandchild, Marisa Shultz.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are pending with D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.
