Garnet Louise Boyd

Garnet Louise Blevins Boyd, 57, of Portsmouth died Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born May 13, 1955 in Ashland, KY., a daughter of the late Forrest and Ruth Williams Blevins. She was a former clerk at Southern Ohio Medical Center and a member of New Beginnings Church of God. Garnet is survived by her husband, Kelvin Boyd; 3 sisters, Janet Mollett and Donna Pinkerton both of Franklin Furnace and Joyce Koster of Kitts Hill; 5 brothers, Forrest Blevins of New Boston, Walter Blevins and Richard Blevins both of Franklin Furnace, Burt Blevins of Eden Park and Clifford Blevins of Greenup, KY. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Lewis Blevins. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday Feb. 6, 2013 at High Praises Church of God. Interment will follow at Haverhill Cemetery.
