Freda Mae Roe

Freda Mae Roe, 81, of Lancaster, formerly of New Boston, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011. She was born June 6, 1929, daughter to the late Nannie and Allen Hamilton. She was retired from the A&P store where she worked for over 32 years. Freda is survived by her son, Timothy Roe (James Jadlot) with whom she lived in Lancaster; two daughters, Shirley Roe of Parma, and Anita Toppins of New Boston; and her three faithful companions, Sophie, Tippie, and Chloe; two brothers, James (Sharon) Hamilton of New Boston, and Wayne Horsley of Springfield; two sisters, Karen "Susie" Colegrove and Kay (David) Mills both of New Boston; seven grandchildren, Joshua Roe, Matt Roe, Erin Roe, Amy Clawsen, Jeremy (Michele) Cantrell, Nicholas (Casey) Toppins, and Jonathon Toppins; 6 great-grandchildren, and special friend, Fawn Lyons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oral Roe; one brother, Carl; and an infant son. Special thanks to Dr. James Barnes and the staff of German Village Family Health and Diley Ridge Medical Center. Services will be 11am, Friday, February 11, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 5 to 8 pm and Friday 10 to 11 am at D.W.
