Florence Riddlebarger, 99, of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday Jan. 21, 2015 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Feb. 27, 1915 in Morgan County, KY., a daughter of the late Ulysses Simpson and Rissie Ellen Ferguson Fraley. She was married to the late Melford W. Riddlebarger. She was a member of Cedar St. Church of Christ in Christian Union, was retired from Marting's, volunteered at SOMC Gift Shop and loved gardening.
Florence is survived by two sons, Ronald (Doris) Riddlebarger of Rosemount and Larry (Rosalie) Riddlebarger of Kettering; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lorrie) Riddlebarger of Rubyville, Tim Riddlebarger of Dayton, Robin Riddlebarger (Hornbeck) of Beaver Creek, Tina Riddlebarger (Johnson) of Germantown, Keri Riddlebarger Clemmons of Dayton and Kim Weber of Portsmouth; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Wellington, Marcus, Arthur and Raymond Fraley and 3 sisters, Della Sherman, Vera Ramey and Jane Bailey.
Services will be 10 AM Saturday Jan. 24, 2015 at Cedar St. Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be Friday 5 to 8 PM at D. W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON and Saturday 9 to 10 AM at the church.Donations may be made to SOMC Hospice Center.
