Emory Cropper, 87 of Portsmouth, died December 2, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1926, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Carl Clifford Cropper, Sr. and the late Rose Cropper. He served in the Navy and was part of the D-Day Normandy Invasion. He was a member of the Sciotoville Christian Church, was a avid golfer, a starter for 12 years at Shawnee Golf course, a member of Little Scioto Golf Club. He was a member of the American Legion #23, the VFW of Sciotoville, Ohio LST Association and Nations LST. He is survived by a daughter Debbie Lou Hall of Sciotoville and one brother David Cropper of Virginia. He was also preceded in death by his wife Helen McKenzie Cropper, four brothers; Andrew, William, Carl Jr., and Earl Robert Cropper. Private services will be at the conviencence of the family.
