Emily (Law) Gullett

Emily Sue Law Gullett, (Maw), 78 of New Boston went to be with the Lord and reunited with passed loved ones on Jan. 28, 2013 at SOMC surrounded by family and friends. She was born Jan. 3, 1935 in Oak Hill, the daughter of the late Margaret and William Jones. She was the middle child of 3 siblings. She was known for showing care and love for everyone. She enjoyed watching her Cincinnati Reds play baseball, listening to the Gaither's and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother who would make sure everyone was taken care of. She had a Cockitiel which she called Baby. She was a determined, educated and strong-willed person. In her younger years she worked as a telephone operator for GTE in Jackson for 30 plus years. She is survived by her sister, Betty Jones of Blacklick, OH.; a brother, Joe Jones of Heath, OH.; sons, Chuck and Greg Law of New Boston; son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Janet Law of New Boston; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and James Kerns Jr. of Franklin Furnace; granddaughters, Crystal and Aaron Scott of Bellbrook, OH., Marsha Kerns and Chris Powell of Kettering, OH., Annie and Micah Kerns of Franklin Furnace and Theresa Zawila of New Boston; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Scott, Darrien and Justice Powell and several friends. Emily Sue was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence and friends, Connie Boggs and Joann Smith. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday Feb. 1, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Paul Holbrook officiating. Interment will be at C M cemetery in Oak Hill, Visitation will be Friday 12 noon to 1 PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
