Ella Joan (Wright) Floyd

Age 65 of New Boston passed away peacefully at home December 20, 2016.

Joan was born September 12, 1951 in Xenia to the late Cale and Marie Eggers Conn Wright She was united in marriage September 25, 1977 in New Boston to the late Jerry Dale Floyd. She was a receptionist for the New Boston Manor for many years

Joan leaves behind her loving daughter and son–in–law, William and Sherry Alley Vaughn; her grandchildren, who were her world, Zachary Dale Alley and Zoey Breann Vaughn She is also survived by her sisters, Florence Sargent, Alice Horsley, Virginia Rickey, Elizabeth Metzler, Betty Neff, and Linda Shope Joan was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry of 25 years and brothers William Crabtree and Leo Crabtree Jr.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at D.W. SWICK – NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Friends may call 12 noon to 1 p.m.  Thursday at the funeral home.
