Eileen Doughty

Eileen Doughty, 91, formerly of New Boston died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009 at Best Care Convalescent Center. She was born August 25, 1917 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Oscar and Lillian Grubbs Mershon. She attended Ohio Ave. Christian Church, worked at the former Williams Shoe Factory, Community Action and the defense Plant in Dayton during the war. Eileen is survived by a son, Joe Doughty and wife Delores of New Boston; two grandchildren, Beth Madden and husband Dennis and Joey Doughty and wife Diana all of Wheelersburg; three great grandchildren, Derrick and Kayla Dunaway and Erica Jo Doughty. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Doughty, 4 brothers, Gardner, Oscar, Jack and Leland Mershon and a sister, Anna Walton. Services will be 12 noon Thursday, February 5, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
