Earnest Raymond “Ray” Bradley

Age 82 of Beaver, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born January 8, 1934 in Old Town, KY, a son of the late Vernon and Rosie Shepherd Bradley. He attended Portsmouth High School, was a former employee of Coca Cola Bottling Co., and retired from the City of Portsmouth with 10 years of service. He recently became a Christian and he loved to take care of the Soldiers’ Circle at Greenlawn Cemetery Ray loved the outdoors and especially his dogs and cat.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ward Bradley; two sons, Jeff (Barbie) Bradley and Greg (Missy) Bradley; four grandchildren, Derek, Todd (Ginny), Mandy, Justin; two great-grandchildren, Laikyn and Layne. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Bradley; two brothers, Carl and Virgil; two sisters, Monnie Adkins and Donna Tabor; a grandson, Jacob; and other younger siblings.

Services will be 1:00 p.m Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Quincy, KY.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m to 1 p.m at the D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in New Boston. The family would like to give a special thanks to Southern Ohio Medical Center and SOMC Hospice for their wonderful care.
