Dretia Faye (Holsinger) Clark

Age 81 of Portsmouth, formerly of New Boston, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born March 17, 1935 in Rome, OH, a daughter of the late Luther and Vesta Nelson Holsinger. She was a former Head Start Preschool Teacher with Community Action.

She is survived by a son, Bill (Brenda) Ratcliffe of Virginia Beach, VA; two daughters, Sherri Jackson of Sciotoville and Irma (Merle) Hicks of Hillsboro; one brother, Luke Holsinger of Eden Park; two sisters, Lorene Heath and Pam Pennington, both of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard on April 16, 1985; three sisters, Dorothy Spence, Mildred Perkins, and Geraldine Sexton.

Service will be 12:00 noon Friday, October 21, 2016 at D.W.SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating. Interment to follow at McKendree Cemetery.
