Dorothy Louise Potts

Dorothy Louise "Barnett" "Burton" Potts, 86, of Sciotoville passed away June 22, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  She was born on November 25, 1934 to the late William and Nellie (Cartee) Barnett. Dorothy was loved by many and spent her life as a homemaker.  She loved her family.

Dorothy is survived by six children, Anthony Wayne Burton, Dewey and Sheila Potts, William and Sheena Potts, Elizabeth "Potts"  and William Charles, Richard Potts, Kenny and Tessa Potts; three sisters, Faye (Deo), Brenda, and Carolyn; one brother, Russell; Eleven Grandchildren, Kimberly and JD Sparks, Lisa and Aaron Pollard, Scott and Carrie Charles, Dewey and Debbie Potts, Tina and Nick Rader, BJ and Shasta Potts, Nathen Potts. Bessie and Ben Adkins, Ebbie Potts, Brandon and Kim Monk, and Anthony Monk; nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; many neices and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty five years, Dewey Potts Sr.; two daughter in laws, Judy (Fitzpatrick) Burton and Lisa "Mullins" Potts; two brothers and one sister.

A visitation will be held Thursday June 24, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickFuneralHome.com
