Dorothy L. Pierce, 77 of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at SOMC Hospice Center She was born March 17, 1939 in Portsmouth to Virgil and Bennie (Salyers) Spriggs Dorothy loved to cook for family and friends. She was of the Pentecostal faith
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Pierce of Portsmouth; one brother, William (Loretta) Spriggs of Ironton; six grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay) Pierce, Eric (Terri) Pierce, Jack (Eva) Armstrong, Cassie (Belinda) Peirce, L.D. Pierce, and Jennifer (Corey) Strebling; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends of the family, Amy Spriggs and Madyson Brown In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Delbert Pierce; one daughter, Jackie Pierce; one son in law, Rick Adams; one daughter-in-law, Sue Pierce; two brothers, Berl Spriggs, Jack Spriggs, and three infant brothers; two sisters, Genève Buckley and Joyce Wiley; one granddaughter, Stephanie Hopkins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at D.W.
