Dorothy Carol "Dot" Arthur

Dorothy "Dot" Arthur, 82, of Pleasant Hill Manor, formerly of Rosemount and New Boston died, Oct. 29, 2009. She was born May 3, 1927 in Portsmouth, daughter of the late Katherine Mae Brehmer and Carl Floyd Hepner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Earl W. Arthur. Dorothy was a past member of The Order of the White Shrine and the Portsmouth Business Women's Association. She was formerly employed by Atlas Fashion and C.A. Lancaster Construction and owned her own business of 50 years, Arthur Accounting Co. She is survived by 1 daughter, Melinda Pence and son-in-law, Ronald of New Boston; 1 grandson, Justin Buckler of New Boston; 2 step grandsons, Ronald Jr. and Johnie Pence of Portsmouth; 1 step granddaughter, Gina Pence of Michigan; 2 step great-granddaughters, Amayrah Nicole Anderson of Michigan, Emaleigh Nicole Pence of Portsmouth; and 1 step great grandson, Jacob Eli McGhee of Kentucky. Services will be 2PM, Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Kenny Walker and Rick Mollett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Wheelersburg. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4PM and 6-8PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
