Age 50 of New Boston died September 5, 2018 He was born January 26, 1968 in Portsmouth to Donald and Rosella (Martin) Hickman He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1987 Donavon liked to fish, shoot hoops, watch Buckeye football games, and took care of his mother at home where he took great pride in keeping the yard immaculate. He worked 20 years at Plaskolite in Columbus as an oven operator.
He is survived by one son Alex (A.J.) of Fort Myers, FL; a grandson, Jaxon Drake Hickman; mother, Rosella Hickman of New Boston; two brothers, Brad (Jerri) Hickman of New Boston, Chad Hickman (Stacie) of Minford; aunt, Sugg Hickman of New Boston; uncle, Tom Hickman of Portsmouth; nephews and nieces, Jacob Hickman, Brian Hickman, Brandon Hickman, Gabrielle Hickman, Shelby Hatfield, Tifany Hickman-O’Rourke, Whitney Hickman-Dalton, Destiny Hickman; several cousins He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Hickman, and his brother, Jeff Hickman.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Andy Day officiating Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace Friends may call Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
