Donald Sherman, 82, of New Boston, died, Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born June 18, 1929, in North Moreland, a son of the late Aniul and Della Fraley Sherman. Donald served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Fields Sherman of New Boston, whom he shared his life with for nearly 32 years; two step-sons, Thomas Creech of Findlay and David (Lisa) Creech of Chillicothe; a step-daughter, Polly Creech of Albany; a sister, Darlene Ogilvie of Idaho; a brother, Bert (Jean) Sherman of Waverly; four grandchildren, Melissa, Renee, Brianna, and Chase; and one great-grandchild. Donald was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Scott Sherman; and two sisters, Audrey Howell and Wanda Sherman.
