Donald Reed

Donald J. Reed, 72, of New Boston died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Feb. 18, 1938 in Louisville, KY to the late Ed Updyke and Ida Mae Bondner. He was a graduate of Maysville, KY High School, a former automobile salesman and was a popular quartet singer who loved singing gospel songs. Don is survived by his wife, Peggy Hinton Reed; two sons, Timothy Reed Sr of Portsmouth and Kenneth "Todd" Reed of Grove City; one daughter, Donna Lou Reed of Circleville; 6 grandchildren, Timothy A. Reed Jr (Meagen), Christopher Reed, W. J. Reed, RaeDonna Reed, Steven Collins and Austin Reed; 6 great-grandchildren, D.J. Reed, Gaven Reed, Barden Reed, Collin Reed, Hope Reed and Iszzy Reed. He was also preceded in death by Harry and Carrie Reed who raised him, and 5 infant children. Memorial services will be 6 PM Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, 4205 Cedar St, New Boston, OH. with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating.
