Donald E. Bowling

Donald E. Bowling, 78, of New Boston, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He was born July 13, 1933, in Sandy Hook, KY, the son of the late John Henderson and Sarah Elizabeth Weddington Bowling. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he was a retired school teacher and administrator as well as an avid gardener. Donald is survived by his wife, Carole Cinereski Bowling; three sons, Jedward Bowling of Portsmouth, F. Young Bowling (Lita) of Cameron, NC, Donard Bowling (JoAnna) of Lucasville; one daughter, Sarianna Torrence (Trevor) of Bexley; and eight grandchildren, Carlos Bowling, Karla Bowling, Jarret Bowling, Elise Torrence, Addison Torrence, Keldon Bowling, Jenna Bowling, and Reece Bowling. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wayne Bowling, and a sister, Marcella Young. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park with graveside military honors by James Pickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8PM and one hour prior to the service.
