Donald Kenneth Atkins

Donald Kenneth Atkins, 90, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio. He was born in Scioto County on April 12, 1932 to the late John and Mary (Goodman) Atkins and was a graduate of East High School. He retired as an Utility Operator for Detroit Steel. Donald served as a medic in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is surived by a son, Donald Atkins II and wife Kelly of Greenville, Ohio; a daughter, Sharron Adkins and husband Michael; a step-daughter, Chris Ross; a step-son, Dean Ruddock; granddaughters, Tracy Goble and husband Bobby, Amy Alley and husband Alan; and grandson, Tony Adkins and wife Tracy; great grandsons Jared and Jake Alley, Tyler and Trent Adkins and Brandon Atkins; a brother, David Atkins, step-grandchildren Cary and Adam Duncan and Emily Liette. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; brothers, Bob, Carl, Tommy, Ron and Wayne. Graveside services will be held 12:00 (NOON) Friday, September 2, 2022 at Vernon Cemetery with Graveside Military Honors provided by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.
