Dennis "Denny" Gene Withers

Dennis (Denny) Gene Withers, age 68 of Portsmouth, Ohio, died quietly in his sleep Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 17, 1950, the son of the late Olen and Mae Branscum Withers He was a loving and caring son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved the Lord, and was saved and baptized at Portsmouth Baptist Church and used God's word as his moral compass. He owned and operated with his brother Mike, Withers Brothers Trucking Inc.

He is survived by 2 children, Ralph Warnock of South Shore, KY, Christina Warnock of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Conner, who is at Ohio University, Wyatt of South Shore, KY, Alexa of Portsmouth, and Danielle of Portsmouth; 2 brothers, Michael Withers of SC and Jeffrey Jones of Russell Springs, KY; 2 sisters, Sandy Gilliam of Portsmouth and Brenda Haws of Wheelersburg; 3 nieces, Karly Robinson, Sara Spille, Joanna Withers; nephew, Vincent Withers of Columbus In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Brandon Gilliam.

Funeral services for Denny will be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 5, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Dr., Russell Springs, KY Friends may call on Saturday from 12 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral.
