Delores Zempter

Delores S. Zempter, 80, of New Boston died Sun., Dec. 20, 2009 at Maysville Extended Care Facility. She was born Feb. 4, 1929 in New Boston a daughter of the late Francis and Marie Simpson Shonkwiler. She was a 1947 graduate of East High School, was a retired claims Rep. for the Social Security Admin. and had worked for several local attorneys. She is survived by two sons, Thurl A. Zempter and wife Roseann of St. George, Utah and Eric C. Zempter and wife Valerie of Maysville, KY.; one daughter, Glenna Zempter of So. Bloomfield; 3 sisters, Lucille Skaggs of Mansfield, Theora Bradley and Carolyn Roberts both of Portsmouth; 6 grandchildren, David Zempter, Joshua Zempter, Jennifer Hill, Jeremiah Zempter, Jonathan Zempter and Alex Zempter; and 5 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Zempter and 3 brothers, Lowell Shopnkwiler, Charles Shonkwiler and infant George Thurl Shonkwiler. Services will be 1 PM Wed., Dec. 23, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor David Skaggs officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
