Age 82 of Minford, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his home He was born November 10, 1933 in Minford to Buddie and Nora (Wheeler) Brafford He was a 1952 graduate of Minford High School He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Detroit Steel Delmas enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren He was well-known for his sense of humor and tall tales, and was a dedicated member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church and Freedom Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Perry (Bonnie) Brafford of Wellston, Scott (Jamie) Brafford; two daughters, Sherry (Steve) Staten of Waverly, Kelly (Doug) Surratt of Kingston; one brother, Elmer Brafford of South Point; three sisters, Marie Miller, Irene Cutler, Nola Kinker; seven grandchildren, PJ Brafford, Brandon Brafford, Stephanie Blakeman, Caleb Brafford, Nathaniel Brafford, Amy Surratt, Katey Surratt; and one great-grandchild, Courtney Brafford In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lundy, Rod, Elwood, Lonnie, and one brother in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at North Moreland Christian Baptist Church of God in New Boston with Pastor Perry Brafford officiating Interment will follow at White Gravel Cemetery in Madison Township Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com
