Debra Kay (Staten) Eggers

Age 56 of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth She was born November 15, 1959 in ­­­­­­­Parkersburg, WV to Basil and Ethel (Collins) Staten A 1978 graduate of Portsmouth High School, she also spent two years continuing her education at Shawnee State University In 1980 Debra decided to serve her country and joined the Air Force For two years she was stationed at Wright-Patterson military base where she was a Dental Assistant Specialist Upon rejoining civilian life, she worked at SOMC for 22 years in a number of capacities including Courier, Medical Records, Warehouse, X-ray Tech, and Materials Management until her retirement in 2007 Debra was a talented artist, loved to draw, and enjoyed going to flea markets.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Eggers; one son, Shawn Eggers of Portsmouth; three brothers, Bob Staten of Pomeroy, Jim (Sharon) Staten of Portsmouth, Steve (Sheila) Staten of Piketon; two sisters, Linda (John) Dillow of FL, Carol Murphy of Portsmouth In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanie.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon on Monday May 9, 2016 at D.W.
