Dave Justice, 75, of North Moreland passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. He was born to the late Elmer and Bettie (Kitchen) Justice on March 17, 1947 in Portsmouth. Dave served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was retired from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association. Dave loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their ball games. He loved to play all sorts of games with his family like card games, marbles and board games. He loved to work with wood and if anything was broken he wanted to fix it even if others wanted to throw it away. Dave loved to cook, go camping and take vacations with his family. Dave is survived by his wife, Becky (Snyder) Justice; a daughter Davida “Dee” Grant and husband Todd of New Boston; stepsons, Paul Grant of New Boston, Greg Grant of Wheelersburg and Tony Grant of Somerset, KY; brothers, Ron Coyle and wife Jeri of Springfield, Richard Justice and wife Annie of Springfield, Steve Justice of Celina, OH, Dale Justice and wife Tricia of Lexington, KY; a sister, Debbie Cox and husband Don of New Boston; many loved nieces and nephews; sixteen grandchildren, Sara, Travis, Annie, Molly, Crea, Tyler, Abby, Lindsay, Ryley, Shandon, Dylan, Austin, Brooklynn, Blake, Kenzie and Coby; eight great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Oliver, Jaxon, Carson, Kennedy, McKara, Blakely and Payton. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nora (Mathis) Justice. Funeral services will be 12:00p.m. (NOON) Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Brian Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with graveside military honors provided by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.
