David Lee Huston

David Lee Huston, 67, of Portsmouth passed away Saturday February 25, 2023 at Hillview Retirement Center. He was born September 26, 1955 in Portsmouth a son of the late Lawrence and Imogene (Yinger) Huston. He was a 1975 graduate of Clay High School and attended Rubyville Community Church. David considered himself The Mayor of Rubyville and the bus coordinator for Rubyville Community Church. He loved going to church, watching TV especially Nascar, the Buckeyes, Reds and the Astros. David never met a stranger and if he liked you, you were a friend for life. David is survived by a brother, Lawrence Lowell Huston of Friendswood, TX; a sister, Susan Martin of Portsmouth; nieces, Barbie Gable, Teri Webb, Jennifer (Shawn) Schobelock, Kendra (Jeremy) Wasch, Kris (H.D.) Miller and Tracy (Milton) Morgan along with several great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Hillview, SOMC Hospice Center and Keri Kuhn CNP, dear friend and provider for the wonderful care shown to David. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Anita Price Huston. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 4, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jeremy Wasch officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12 Noon to 1:00 PM prior to services on Saturday.
