Daniel Brown

Daniel T. Brown, 70, of Portsmouth died Tues., Dec. 8, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born April 20, 1939 in Tagart, KY., a son of the late Hubert and Queenie Rowley Brown, He was a former T.V. repairman, a member of James Dickey Post 23, American Legion and the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Stapleton Cline Brown; a son, Daniel Brown of Portsmouth; a daughter, Karen Sue Bryant of Royston, GA.; three sisters, Effie Duckett of Portsmouth, Pricey Jamison of Cleveland and Barbara James of Cincinnati; a brother in law, Festine Venable of Portsmouth and a grandson, Daniel Lee Brown. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Henry and Lyman Brown. Services will be 1 PM Thurs., Dec. 10, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with burial at Brown Abdon cemetery with military honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion.. Visitation will be Thurs. 11 AM to 1 PM at D.W.
