Clyde R. Ash

Clyde R. Ash, 75 of New Boston died Monday June 23, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 26, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Clyde and Thelma Brown Ash. Clyde was a 1959 graduate of Northwest High School, worked at the former steel mill in New Boston and retired from USEC Chemical Plant. He enjoyed wood working and going to car shows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Ash and a son-in-law, Ron Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Betty Frye Ash of New Boston; his children, Wendy (Paul) Swisher of Ashland, KY., Becky Bailey of Sciotodale and Chris (Amber) Ash of New Boston; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Clyde is also survived by a brother, Richard (Pamela) Ash of Rubyville and a sister-in-law, Rita Ash. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Friday June 27, 2014 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Brother Kenny Noel officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Masonic service by Masonic Lodge #465 of Lucasville will be held at the conclusion of the visitation.
