Claudene Nolan Hensley, 79, of Wheelersburg, died Thurs., March 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1932, in Harlan County, KY, a daughter of the late John and Lula Pace Nolan. Claudene worked at Cops Turkey Farm, Campbell Hausfield, and was a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Harrison Free Will Baptist Church.

A wonderful mother, woman and aid;

One who was better God never made;

A wonderful worker, so loyal and true;

One in a million-mother was you.

Just in your judgment, always right;

Honest and liberal, ever upright;

Loved by your friends, all you knew;

A wonderful mother-mother was you.

Claudene is survived by two sons, Paul Hensley, and wife Debbie, of Harrison, Ind., Eric Hensley, and wife Sherie, of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Kyle Nolan of Tenn., Harold Nolan of Mich.; three sisters, Ester McQueen and Jenell Proffitt both of Hamilton, Oh, and Ann Caldwell of Harlan, Ky; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hensley; two brothers, Arthur Nolan and Hayes Speed Nolan; and three sisters, Nita Kendal-Murphy Nolan, Myrtle Nolan, and Loreen Nolan. Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5-8 pm with Funeral services at 8:00pm at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, with Pastor Darrell Grimes officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at noon, Monday, April 2, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery in Moscow, Ohio. On-line condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
