Claudene Hensley

Claudene Nolan Hensley, 79, of Wheelersburg, died Thurs., March 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1932, in Harlan County, KY, a daughter of the late John and Lula Pace Nolan. Claudene worked at Cops Turkey Farm, Campbell Hausfield, and was a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Harrison Free Will Baptist Church.

A wonderful mother, woman and aid;

One who was better God never made;

A wonderful worker, so loyal and true;

One in a million-mother was you.

Just in your judgment, always right;

Honest and liberal, ever upright;

Loved by your friends, all you knew;

A wonderful mother-mother was you.

Claudene is survived by two sons, Paul Hensley, and wife Debbie, of Harrison, Ind., Eric Hensley, and wife Sherie, of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Kyle Nolan of Tenn., Harold Nolan of Mich.; three sisters, Ester McQueen and Jenell Proffitt both of Hamilton, Oh, and Ann Caldwell of Harlan, Ky; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hensley; two brothers, Arthur Nolan and Hayes Speed Nolan; and three sisters, Nita Kendal-Murphy Nolan, Myrtle Nolan, and Loreen Nolan. Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5-8 pm with Funeral services at 8:00pm at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, with Pastor Darrell Grimes officiating.
