Charles 'Chuck' Thompson

Charles R. 'Chuck' Thompson Jr., 47, of Portsmouth died Fri., Dec. 18, 2009 at home. He was born Jan. 11, 1962 in Portsmouth, a son of Betty Felty Thompson of Portsmouth and the late Charles R. Thompson Sr. He was a former construction worker for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. Chuck is also survived by his finance, Sandra K. Jones; two sisters, Rhonda Shepherd and Sandy Howerton (Jim) Sparks all of South Shore, KY.; two stepdaughters, Jennifer and Amber Bailey; a granddaughter, Raegen; two nephews, Jimmy (Bub) Sparks and Steven Chase Thompson; 3 nieces, Lori, Tara and Amy; 3 great nieces and 5 great nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Steven Dale Thompson whom he loved very much. Services will be 6 PM Wed., Dec. 23, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Brother Winford (Tank) Fugett officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be Wed. 4 to 6 PM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
