Carrie Whitt, 90, of New Boston, died Monday, August 17, 2009 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born December 18, 1918, a daughter of the late Stumbo and Margaret (Gibson) Thornsberry. Carrie is survived by six sons, Bill (Nancy) Whitt, Claude (Opal) Whitt, Otis (Judy) Whitt, Roger (Cathy) Whitt, Jerry (Marsha) Whitt, Larry (Mary) Whitt; three daughters, Brenda (Carl) Morman, Linda (Leonard) Pack, and JoAnn Whitt; a sister, Clova Howell; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Otis Whitt, son James Whitt, four brothers, and four sisters. Private services will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the convience of the family with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating.
