Carolyn Ruth Davis

Carolyn Ruth Davis, 78 of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones and under the loving care of SOMC Hospice.
Carolyn retired after 40+ years of service from Mercy Hospital and Southern Ohio Medical Center where she worked as a medical transcriptionist.
She is preceded in death by her husband Philip Ray Davis, her parents, Robert and Dorothy (Rowley) Davis, and a sister Dorothy Katherine "Katie" Wamsley.
She is survived by two nieces: Carolyn (Dan) Mayhew of Chillicothe and Megan (Chris) Anderson of Williamsport, a nephew David (Dawn) Wamsley of Laurelville, a cousin Pam Radick of Illinois, dear friends Steve and Teresa Timberlake, and her cat Ebony.
A celebration of life will be held on November 20, 2022, at 5 pm for her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to SOMC Hospice at 2201 25th Street Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
