Carol (Kansas) Blaine

Carol (Kansas) Blaine, 82, of Portsmouth, died May 30, 2014 at SOMC Hospice Center. Carol was born November 25, 1930 in Portsmouth to the late Albert Penix and Mary Crace Penix. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Ray(Carolyn Sue) Blaine of West Portsmouth, Michael L. Blaine of Sciotoville and Paul D. (Tamara) Blaine of Lucasville. Three daughters Carolyn D. Blaine of Portsmouth, Mary Jenkins of Piketon and Debra J. Blaine of Florence, Ky. One cousin Buster Penix of Seaman and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Blaine whom she married on December 24, 1949 in Greenup, KY., six brothers, Harding, Leo, Eugene, Argustus, Ralph and Manford Penix. four sisters Ester Jarrells, Eva Mallott, Easter Lintz, Arizona Jackson, and a grandson Jeremy Crabtree. Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday June 3, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services Tuesday at D. W. SWICK IN NEW BOSTON . Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
