Carmen M. Collins, 96, of Portsmouth died Sat. Jan. 21, 2012 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Nov. 16, 1915 in Belpre, OH. a daughter of the late Charlie and Goldie Stith Beckley. She was a member of Rubyville Community Church and the Daughters of America. Carmen is survived by two sons, Ron (Geraldine) Hayton of McDermott and Jack (Donna) Hayton of Twin Valley; a daughter, Elaine (Stephen) Nesha of Tenn.; 5 grandchildren, Rebecca Hoover of Yakama, Wash., Donny Hayton of Twin Valley, Lisa Scott of Milford, Karen Hayton of Portsmouth and Steve Nesha of Baltimore, OH.; 2 great-grandchildren Alexis and Heather Scott and nuemerous other brothers and sisters. She was also preceeded in death by her husband, Farmer Collins whom she married on Dec. 22, 1951, a brother, Homer Beckley, 2 sisters, Virginia Edwards and Maxine Napier and a grandson, David Hayton. Services will be 1 PM Tues. Jan. 24, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park.
