Bruce Hamilton

Bruce Hamilton, 42, of Portsmouth died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 after a hard battle with cancer. He was born May 15, 1968 in Portsmouth and was a self employed building contractor. Bruce is survived by his wife, Melissa Ann Fraley Hamilton; three sons, Bruce Hamilton, Chris (Jessica) Hamilton and Tyler Hamilton all of Portsmouth; stepson, Chris Tackett of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Katie Fraley of Portsmouth; 3 sisters, Beverly O'Dell of Springfield, OH., Angie Pentheny of Portsmouth and Tina (Michael) Brannigan of Wheelersburg; 5 brothers, James (Judy) Davis of Arizona, Larry (Catherine) Davis, Robert (Angie) Davis, David (Vicki) Hamilton and Mark Hamilton all of Portsmouth; a halfbrother, Danny Hamilton of Portsmouth and 2 grandchildren, Bruce and Kennedy and his Best friend of 17 yrs., Mark Leadingham. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Claude F. Hamilton, Betty L. Channel Medley and stepfather, James Medley and 2 brothers, William Davis and Paul Hamilton. Services will be 2 PM Thursday Dec. 30, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Robert Alexander officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
