Age 64 of Lucasville passed away Sunday May 14, 2017 in Columbus. She was born November 30, 1952 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Bruce and Erma Kiser Parker, Brenda was a very caring and giving mother and grandmother who always took care of everyone above herself. She loved to color, read, collect dolls and Coca Cola products.
She is survived by two sons, Charlie (Rachel) Horner of Worthington and Nathan Horner of Lucasville; two daughters, Melissa Haskins of Portsmouth and Jeanine (Rich) Throckmorton of Lucasville; Charles Horner, husband and father of her children; four brothers, Kurt Parker of Olive Hill, KY, Donnie Parker, Phillip Parker and Paul Parker, all of Carter City, KY, two sisters, Suzie Griffith and Debbie Parker, both of Grayson, KY; four grandchildren, Colin Haskins, Matthew Haskins, Zane Horner, and Zachary Horner; several nieces and nephews; three friends that led her to Christ, Hong Chuah, Joey Staton, and Ronda Wallace. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Newman and Diane Carper.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday May 22, 2017 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. The family requests that friends wear blue which was Brenda's favorite color. Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
