Billy Zane Hodges

Billy Zane Hodges, 81, of New Boston died Tuesday Jan. 7, 2014 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Dec. 16, 1932 in Wide Mouth, W.VA. a son of the late Hampton and Rosa Clisso Hodges. He was a member of New Boston Church of The Nazarene, was a U.S. Army veteran and former Assistant Manager of Odd Lots. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Copen Hodges whom he married in August of 1958 at Mateoka, W.VA., a son, Zane Hodges and wife Laura of Aiken, SC; a daughter, Sherry Adkins and husband Ray of New Boston; a brother, Ivan Hodges of Columbus; a sister, Lucy Hite of LaGrange, NC; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Milton and James Hodges and 2 sisters, Gaynell Whorley and Shirley Gibson. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Mike Percell officiating. Private interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
