Audie Swartz

Audie Swartz, 84, of Lucasville, died Wed. June 30, 2010. He was born May 22, 1926 in Bedford, IN., a son of the late Charles and Cora Goodman Swartz. He was a member of Long Run Freewill Baptist Church. Audie was a great race car driver and former K-C Raceway Track Champion having won over 400 Feature races and was a Grandstand Honoree. He also was known for his love of old Ford trucks. He is survived by a son, Charles (Leslie) Swartz of Grayson, KY; 2 daughters, Marlene (Joe) Thieken of Wheelersburg and Cora (Mike) Wright of Ft. Wayne, IN. and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Doughrty Swartz; 2 brothers, Ershel Pankey and John Swartz; 5 sisters, Ruth Morrow, Iona Barrett, Maggie McCreary, Violet Bunch and Osline Allen Swartz. Services will be 11 AM Sat. July 3, 2010 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Bimb McAllister officiating. Burial will be at Blue Run cemetery.
