Anna (Jean) Riffe

Anna (Jean) I. Riffe, 86 of New Boston passed away Sunday April 13, 2014 at her daughters home in Columbia Station. She was born Feb. 25, 1928 in Greenup Co., KY. a daughter of the late Edward and Thelma Smith Arthur. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a graduate of Glenwood High School where she was the secretary for over 35 years, was the co-founder of the New Boston Alumni Association and was a Kentucky Colonel. Anna is survived by 1 son, Paul Riffe and wife Nancy of Franklin Furnace; 3 daughters, Linda Gilliam of Chillicothe, Paula Cooper and husband Tommy of Beaver and Mona Malone and husband Rick of Columbia Station; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Arthur and a grandson, Paul Aaron Riffe. Services will be 11 AM Thursday April 17, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 to 8 PM and Thursday 10 to 11 AM at D.W.
