Alma M. Drake

Age 95 of New Boston passed away Thursday August 20, 2015 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Sept. 9, 1919 in New Boston, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Jenkins Armstrong. Alma worked at the former Kobackers and Hart's Dept. Stores and attended Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Todd Drake, Rhonda Drake and Ellen Williams; daughters-in-law, Joyce Drake and Betty Drake; 3 great grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Raymond O. Drake, Franklin T. Drake, and a grandson, Jay Drake.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
