Alma (Whitt) Adkins

Age 99 of New Boston passed away Monday May 23, 2016 at Heartland of Portsmouth. She was born February 21, 1917 in Sandy Hook, KY. a daughter of the late Emmit and Josie Fraley Whitt. Alma was a homemaker who loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Vernon Adkins of Minford and Rick (Lynn) Adkins of New Boston; a daughter Janice (Jack) Justice of Vermilion; a sister Effie Ginn of Wheelersburg, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great- grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her husband Avery Adkins, two daughters, Bonnie Jones and Jannett Nance, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Services will be 12 Noon Thursday May 26, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Jack Lore officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
